Objectives
Methodology & Deliverables
One-on-one remote task-based usability sessions. Participants were directed through a series of randomized tasks on one of two competitor platforms.
Quantitative metrics were assessed via task-level (completion, ease, time on task, etc) and study-level (NPS, etc).
Primary usability issues were identified via errors, participant difficulties, and verbatims. Error rate was collected and assessed via participant difficulties, verbatims and moderator observation.
Recommendations were derived based on quantitative performance and usability issues. Benchmark established a baseline for future research efforts to compare changes across time and changes to the platform.
Comparative analyses identified strengths, relative weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Benchmark performance and usability of two popular video-watching platforms via mixed-methods approach.
- Compare key metrics and performance indicators against competitors and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify pain points and usability issues and issue recommendations for improving overall platform usability.
